Porventura is a Portuguese furniture editor at the intersection of national and global design.
Born in 2017, it has been reinventing traditional lines ever since, with a touch of whimsical that challenges routine actions like sleeping, sitting, eating or working.
Through classic materials like solid wood, fabrics, cork, metal and a close attention to ergonomics, Porventura balances unexpected concepts into pieces that live in harmony with contemporary home life.

Handmade
It's a matter of touch. Each piece is gently finished by a craftsman, individually polished by seasoned hands before leaving the workshop. We invite you to feel the knowledge, care and tradition at the tip of your fingers.
Sustainable quality
Working with small producers, artisans and craftsmen is part of what makes us unique and we feel it is our duty to support other businesses as we build our own. We believe in growing together, preserving traditions and resources for the next generations.

Porventura is a platform, not a label. We host established and awarded designers alongside new talent from design schools — and artisans carrying knowledge passed down through generations.

Collaboration is imperative to who we are — an exchange of experiences, desires and concepts between established, awarded designers (Portuguese and international), new designers developing work born in design schools, and artisans carrying ancient knowledge across generations. Because investing in design and in people is part of our DNA.

Every Porventura piece can be adapted to fit the space it's meant for. Whether it's a dimension, a wood finish, or a detail that doesn't exist yet — our designers and artisans work with you to bring it to life. Bespoke is not an exception at Porventura; it's an extension of how we already work.
Made in Portugal
Porventura produces in a semi-industrial way, using natural wood and its derivatives, with careful selection of raw materials and finishes, in an environmentally responsible way. Every product results from an experimental approach and a detailed search for materials, techniques and processes, because innovation, durability and aesthetic pleasure are a permanent concern, not an afterthought.
