Filipe Ventura is an interior and furniture designer based in Lisbon whose work explores the relationship between architecture, furniture, and how people inhabit spaces. With a degree in Interior Design specializing in carpentry, he develops projects where architectural thought, materiality, and artisanal know-how converge to create contemporary and timeless objects.
His design process begins with the observation and interpretation of architecture, translating proportions, forms, and spatial concepts into furniture pieces that reconcile functionality, simplicity, and emotional value. More than creating isolated objects, he seeks to establish a dialogue between furniture, architecture, art, and everyday life, allowing each piece to have its own identity while simultaneously contributing to the harmony of the space it integrates.
In 2016, Filipe Ventura founded Porventura, a Portuguese design publisher dedicated to promoting contemporary design through collaboration with emerging and established designers. Bringing together diverse creative perspectives under a shared vision of quality, authenticity, and longevity, Porventura reflects its commitment to valuing Brazilian craftsmanship, simultaneously encouraging innovation, experimentation, and conscious production.
Working closely with designers, artisans, and manufacturers throughout the country, Filipe Ventura continues to develop furniture collections that celebrate the intersection between design culture, knowledge of materials, and contemporary living. His goal is to create objects that endure beyond trends, enriching people's lives through design conceived to last.
