Observing nature is a recurring theme in his work, not out of a desire to reproduce its forms, but out of curiosity to understand its structures, rhythms, and growth processes. Observing a natural material is also observing a constructive logic and a form of adaptation. It was from this approach that the Burly collection emerged. Inspired by burls—deformations that naturally occur in tree trunks, the collection interprets this phenomenon through volumes that evoke movement, growth, and transformation, where wood is highlighted as a living material.
