FENDA, Coffee Table, by Cátia Moura

The Fenda Table reconsiders the familiar language of the coffee table through a subtle yet intentional gesture.

Instead of concealing its structure under the tabletop, the legs appear to pass through it, creating the illusion of a crack that gives the piece its name.

This simple intervention challenges the conventional relationship between structure and surface, revealing what usually remains hidden, without compromising balance and formal restraint.

The result is an object that discreetly questions the expected, without seeking to completely break with typology.

Exploring the relationship between perception and proportion, the Fenda table offers a new perspective on an everyday object. It departs from convention while maintaining a timeless character, where the structural detail becomes the defining element of a clean and restrained form.
